Masonry estimate and invoice templates

Masonry is priced per square foot of wall or paving, with repointing by area and rebuilds by course or brick count. These spreadsheets come set up for that, with working totals, tax and deposit, and an example brick chimney repoint and paver patio to start from.

Free, no sign-up. Works in Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers.

How to use it

  1. 1Download the template. Download the masonry estimate or invoice (.xlsx). It opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers.
  2. 2Add your company and customer. Fill in the shaded company, customer and service-address cells, and set the document number and date.
  3. 3Replace the example lines. The example is a brick chimney repoint and paver patio. Masonry is priced per square foot of wall or paving, with repointing by area and rebuilds by course or brick count. Change the items, quantities and unit prices to your own; line totals and the subtotal update automatically.
  4. 4Set tax and deposit. Mark each line taxable (Y) or not (N), enter your sales tax rate, and set the deposit percent (the example uses 33%).
  5. 5Review terms and send. Edit the terms to match your policies, save a copy for the customer, and export to PDF to send.

Tips for masonry estimates

  • Repointing goes by wall area; replacements go by brick count. Keep both visible.
  • Show base prep separately so customers understand why your paver price is higher than a DIY quote.
  • Note the mortar type in the description for older homes where soft mortar matters.

Masonry terms included

  • Mortar is matched as closely as practical; new mortar color changes as it cures.
  • Masonry work requires temperatures above the mortar manufacturer's minimum.

Plus standard validity and payment terms. Edit all of them to match your policies and local law.

FAQ

Masonry template questions

Have a question we didn't cover? Book a demo and ask a product specialist.

Why match mortar type on old brick?

Mortar that is harder than the old brick can damage it. Naming the mortar type on the estimate shows you've accounted for that.

How do I quote retaining walls?

Per face square foot, with drainage aggregate and pipe as separate lines.

Do the formulas work in Google Sheets?

Yes. The line totals, subtotal, taxable amount, tax, deposit and balance use standard functions (SUM, SUMIF, ROUND, IF) that work in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.
