Tips for mold remediation estimates

  • Describe containment and the work method in the lines; it's what the customer is paying for.
  • Keep testing off your invoice if your state requires an independent assessor.
  • Put the moisture source in the job title so it's clear it was identified.

Mold remediation terms included

  • The moisture source must be fixed for remediation to last; repairs to the source are not included unless listed.
  • Post-remediation verification, if required, is performed by an independent assessor.

Plus standard validity and payment terms. Edit all of them to match your policies and local law.

Mold remediation template questions

Have a question we didn't cover? Book a demo and ask a product specialist.

Should I include post-remediation testing?

Several states require that the assessor be independent of the remediator. If so, leave testing off and refer the customer.

What guidance should I follow?

The EPA publishes guidance on mold cleanup, and IICRC S520 is the industry standard for remediation.

Do the formulas work in Google Sheets?

Yes. The line totals, subtotal, taxable amount, tax, deposit and balance use standard functions (SUM, SUMIF, ROUND, IF) that work in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.
