Free, no sign-up. Works in Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers.

How to use it

  1. 1Download the template. Download the junk removal estimate or invoice (.xlsx). It opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers.
  2. 2Add your company and customer. Fill in the shaded company, customer and service-address cells, and set the document number and date.
  3. 3Replace the example lines. The example is a garage cleanout, half truck. Junk removal is priced by truck volume, with surcharges for heavy and specially handled items. Change the items, quantities and unit prices to your own; line totals and the subtotal update automatically.
  4. 4Set tax and deposit. Mark each line taxable (Y) or not (N), enter your sales tax rate, and set the deposit percent (the example collects none, so the balance equals the total).
  5. 5Review terms and send. Edit the terms to match your policies, save a copy for the customer, and export to PDF to send.

Tips for junk removal estimates

  • State the truck size in the volume line so "half load" means the same thing every time.
  • List local disposal surcharges as their own lines; they change by county.
  • Use the estimate for the over-the-phone range and the invoice for the on-site price.

Junk removal terms included

  • The final price is confirmed on site by volume before loading.
  • Hazardous waste (paint, chemicals, fuel) is not accepted unless listed.

Plus standard validity and payment terms. Edit all of them to match your policies and local law.

How do I quote by volume over the phone?

Send the estimate with your best guess and say the final price is set on site. The Terms section already says so.

Should I add a donation note?

If you donate items, note it in the description. Some customers choose you for it.

Do the formulas work in Google Sheets?

Yes. The line totals, subtotal, taxable amount, tax, deposit and balance use standard functions (SUM, SUMIF, ROUND, IF) that work in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.
