Snow removal estimate and invoice templates

Snow removal is sold per push, per inch-trigger event, or as a seasonal contract, with salting extra. These spreadsheets come set up for that, with working totals, tax and deposit, and an example seasonal residential driveway plowing to start from.

Free, no sign-up. Works in Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers.

What's in the template

How to use it

  1. 1Download the template. Download the snow removal estimate or invoice (.xlsx). It opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers.
  2. 2Add your company and customer. Fill in the shaded company, customer and service-address cells, and set the document number and date.
  3. 3Replace the example lines. The example is a seasonal residential driveway plowing. Snow removal is sold per push, per inch-trigger event, or as a seasonal contract, with salting extra. Change the items, quantities and unit prices to your own; line totals and the subtotal update automatically.
  4. 4Set tax and deposit. Mark each line taxable (Y) or not (N), enter your sales tax rate, and set the deposit percent (the example uses 50%).
  5. 5Review terms and send. Edit the terms to match your policies, save a copy for the customer, and export to PDF to send.

Tips for snow removal estimates

  • Set the push quantity to your expected events for the estimate, then to actual pushes on each invoice.
  • Spell out your trigger depth in the description; it's the most disputed term.
  • For seasonal contracts, put the full season price in one line and use the deposit for the prepay.

Snow removal terms included

  • Service starts once snowfall reaches the trigger depth and continues until accumulation ends.
  • Damage to unmarked objects under snow is not covered; stakes are installed before the season.

Plus standard validity and payment terms. Edit all of them to match your policies and local law.

FAQ

Snow removal template questions

Have a question we didn't cover? Book a demo and ask a product specialist.

Per push or seasonal?

Per push bills actual work; seasonal smooths cash flow for both sides. You can quote both on separate copies.

How do I document service times?

Log the date and time of each push. Attach the log to the invoice when billing per push.

Do the formulas work in Google Sheets?

Yes. The line totals, subtotal, taxable amount, tax, deposit and balance use standard functions (SUM, SUMIF, ROUND, IF) that work in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.
