Carpet cleaning estimate and invoice templates

How to use it

  1. 1Download the template. Download the carpet cleaning estimate or invoice (.xlsx). It opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers.
  2. 2Add your company and customer. Fill in the shaded company, customer and service-address cells, and set the document number and date.
  3. 3Replace the example lines. The example is a hot-water extraction, 4 rooms and stairs. Carpet cleaning is priced per room or per square foot, with stairs, upholstery and protector as add-ons. Change the items, quantities and unit prices to your own; line totals and the subtotal update automatically.
  4. 4Set tax and deposit. Mark each line taxable (Y) or not (N), enter your sales tax rate, and set the deposit percent (the example collects none, so the balance equals the total).
  5. 5Review terms and send. Edit the terms to match your policies, save a copy for the customer, and export to PDF to send.

Tips for carpet cleaning estimates

  • Define what a "room" is in the description so oversized rooms aren't a surprise.
  • List odor treatment per spot. It sets expectations about urine damage you can't fully fix.
  • Upsell protector by showing it as an optional line with its own total.

Carpet cleaning terms included

  • Permanent stains, dye loss and wear patterns may not come out; we tell you before treating.
  • Allow 6-12 hours of drying time; ventilation shortens it.

Plus standard validity and payment terms. Edit all of them to match your policies and local law.

FAQ

Carpet cleaning template questions

Have a question we didn't cover? Book a demo and ask a product specialist.

Per room or per square foot?

Per room is easy to sell; per square foot is fairer for large spaces. Change the unit and rate to switch.

How do I handle minimum charges?

Add a "Minimum charge adjustment" line that brings small jobs up to your minimum.

Do the formulas work in Google Sheets?

Yes. The line totals, subtotal, taxable amount, tax, deposit and balance use standard functions (SUM, SUMIF, ROUND, IF) that work in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers.
