Free lawn care service checklist (fillable PDF)
A per-visit checklist for mowing and lawn care crews. Keep service consistent across crews and leave the customer a record of what was done.
How to use it
- 1Fill in the header. Enter the customer, address, date and any other details at the top of the checklist.
- 2Work through the items. Check off each task as you finish it. Leave extras unchecked if they're not part of this customer's plan.
- 3Add notes. Note the mowing height used, any lawn problems you spotted and services you'd recommend.
- 4Download or email the PDF. Download the completed checklist as a PDF to print or keep with the job, or email it to yourself to forward to the customer.

What mowing height should I use?
It depends on the grass type and season. A common guideline is never removing more than about a third of the blade in one mowing. Check your local extension service for recommended heights in your area.
Should I bag or mulch clippings?
Mulching returns nutrients to the lawn and is fine for regular mowing. Bag when the grass is very long or wet, during disease outbreaks, or when the customer asks.
How do I keep track of checklists for each property?
Print or save a PDF for each visit and file it by customer. Field service software like Homeforce can store checklists on each job.
