FAQ
Irrigation startup and winterization checklist questions
Have a question we didn't cover? Book a demo and ask a product specialist.
What air pressure should I use for a blowout?
Use a volume of air that clears the lines without exceeding the pressure ratings of the system's pipe, fittings and heads. Follow the manufacturer's guidance and keep pressure moderate, especially on poly pipe and drip zones.
Does the backflow preventer need an annual test?
Many water providers and municipalities require an annual test by a certified tester, but not all. Check with the local water purveyor and note the test date on the checklist.
When should I schedule winterizations?
Before the first hard freeze in your area. Many contractors start a few weeks early and book customers by route so they finish before temperatures drop.
