FAQ

Change order generator questions

Have a question we didn't cover? Book a demo and ask a product specialist.

Do I need a signed change order before doing extra work?

It's the safest way to get paid for it. Many contracts and some state laws require written change orders on home improvement work, so get a signature first.

How do I show a credit for removed work?

Add a line with a negative rate (for example −250) and the revised total goes down.

Can I change the schedule in a change order?

Yes. Use the schedule impact line to say whether the completion date moves.
