Acceptable use policy

Homeforce is built to help home-service businesses run well. This policy sets out what you can't do with it, to protect your customers, other businesses on Homeforce, and the carriers and payment partners we rely on. It's part of our Terms of service.

1. Use Homeforce lawfully

Don't use Homeforce to break the law or help anyone else break it. That includes consumer protection, privacy, employment, licensing, tax, payments, and telemarketing laws.

2. Texts, calls and email

  • Don't text, call or email people who haven't agreed to hear from you, or keep contacting people who've opted out.
  • Don't send spam, bulk messages to purchased, rented or scraped lists, or messages meant to mislead people about who's sending them.
  • Don't record calls without giving the notice and getting the consent the law requires.
  • Don't use artificial or prerecorded voices, or AI agents, to call people where the law requires consent you don't have.
  • Don't send content carriers prohibit or restrict (see our Messaging (SMS) terms).
  • Don't try to get around opt-outs, quiet hours, fair-use limits or carrier filtering, for example by spreading messages across numbers.

3. AI features and agents

  • Don't use AI features to deceive people, impersonate a real person or another business, or deny being automated when someone sincerely asks.
  • Don't instruct AI agents to make promises, quotes or commitments your business wouldn't honor.
  • Don't use AI features to produce unlawful, harassing, discriminatory or sexually explicit content.
  • Don't try to make AI features ignore their safeguards or reveal other customers' information.

4. Payments

  • Only take payments for real goods and services your business provides.
  • Don't use Homeforce payments for businesses or products Stripe prohibits, to move money for others, or to process transactions that aren't yours.
  • Follow the rules for surcharges and convenience fees where you and your customers are, and disclose fees clearly.

5. Other people's information

  • Only put information into Homeforce that you have the right to use, and use it only to run your business.
  • Don't store sensitive information Homeforce isn't built for, such as health records, full card or bank account numbers, or Social Security numbers, except where a feature asks for it.
  • Don't use Homeforce to stalk, harass or track people. Location readings from the mobile app are for work only.

6. Protecting the service

  • Don't access accounts, records or systems you're not authorized to use, or share logins.
  • Don't probe, scan or test Homeforce for vulnerabilities without our written permission. If you find a security issue, tell us at support@tryhomeforce.com.
  • Don't overload Homeforce, get around rate limits, or use bots or scrapers outside our published API.
  • Don't reverse-engineer, copy or resell Homeforce, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Don't upload viruses or other harmful code.

7. Enforcement and reporting

If we believe an account is breaking this policy, we may remove content, pause texting, calling, payments or AI features, or suspend the account, as described in our Terms of service. We'll usually tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem, unless it's urgent or we're not allowed to.

To report abuse, such as unwanted texts sent through Homeforce, email support@tryhomeforce.com with the phone number or account involved.
